Registrations are now open for the Medical Innovations stream of the Australian eChallenge, run by the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC) at the University of Adelaide.
The Australian eChallenge is a competition based learning experience that develops strategic business thinking for early-stage entrepreneurial ventures. Participants pitch their venture concepts to potential investors from the local business community.
Teams compete for prizes, including cash prizes up to $10,000, expert mentorship and incubator desk space as well as winning the prestige of being nominated the most outstanding Australian eChallenge entrepreneurial venture of the year.
Last years winner of the Medical Innovations program was a startup called “Life Whisperer”, who aimed to improve the chances of successful IVF by developing a non-invasive imaging app to be offered to the general public by fertility clinics. The app can identify a viable human embryo faster and more efficiently, meaning more reliable, repeatable embryo selection. The teams was rewarded with $10,000 cash plus potential investment dollars resulting from their presentation.
Workshops for the Medical Innovations program begin on the 9th of August so register here to be kept informed of how you can be a part of it!
