You’re invited to join the Perron Institute for a full day of scientific presentations covering the latest Perron research into neurological diseases and treatments. Then enjoy our public evening lecture for a fascinating look at the links between music and the human brain.

SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS 8.50am to 4.45pm
The scientific and research community focused day sessions bring together a panel of Perron Institute’s eminent researchers, scientists and clinicians to discuss their work, its outcomes, and its potential for treating people with a wide range of neurological conditions and diseases.
Morning and Afternoon tea are included, as well as a light lunch.
PUBLIC EVENING LECTURE: ” The Therapeutic Power of Music” 5.00pm to 6.00pm
UWA neuroscientist, Professor Alan Harvey combines a passion for music with a lifetime of research in the fields of brain development and repair. As a gifted musician, Alan’s intersecting interests place him in a unique position to understand the connections between music, human evolution and brain function, and he’s a forceful advocate for the power of music to help treat neurological disease. Alan educates and entertains in his fascinating public lecture explaining the links between music and the human brain.
