A/Prof Kevin Pfleger, Chair of the Executive Committee of Accelerating Australia, is no stranger to the challenges of commercialising medical research. Through his experiences with his spin-out company Dimerix Limited, working across disciplines with the UWA BioZone, and mentoring early and mid career researchers at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, Kevin recognised the necessity for making the skills required to commercialise research available to those who need it most. This motivated him to apply for an MTPConnect grant and form the national networks that make up Accelerating Australia today.
