After completing another round of their “Entrepreneurial Mindset” boot camp, The Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI) will be holding their next boot camp from the 28th to the 29th of August. Using the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program developed by Clifton Taulbert and Gary Schoeniger, the boot camp is the first of three modules CERI plans to run concurrently to encourage growth in the WA innovation sector. The two and a half day intensive program sees participants get introduced to the entrepreneurial mindset and work together in groups on a real-life start up idea from business canvas through to pitching on the final day.
The March boot camp saw a diverse group of participating industry professionals and researchers from four of WA’s universities representing a range of disciplines from nanoscience and physiotherapy to marketing. Guest entrepreneurs Michael Roelens and Barry Marshall also shared their experiences in entrepreneurship to the group to wrap up each day.
To be eligible to apply for the CERI Programme you must be affiliated with a WA university or research institute, at Honours level or above. All fields and disciplines are accepted.
CERI is also currently running their first ever Module Two course titled, “Concept to Creation”. Anyone who has completed Module One is welcome to apply.
